The Story Behind the Innovation
It all started with a love for slushies.
Founder and CEO Andrew Heighway was a lifelong fan of frozen carbonated drinks. When he searched for a way to make them at home, he discovered that no one had ever created a home-use frozen carbonated slushie machine — despite these popular drinks being enjoyed globally for more than 70 years.
That realization sparked an idea — and a journey.
In early 2021, Andrew began developing what would become ICEPLOSION — a powerful yet compact 3-in-1 home drink system capable of making frozen fizzy slushies, non-fizzy slushies, and ice-cold sodas in as little as 2-4 minutes.

Slushies fall into 2 categories:
- Non-carbonated slushies that are traditionally made with syrup & crushed ice (non-premium product)
- Frozen-carbonated slushies – made with carbon dioxide gas in a pressurised environment (premium product) – a frozen drink with suspended fizzy ice crystals – known via brands such as Slurpees, ICEEs & Tango Ice Blast
